Once again, the festive season is upon us and as we prepare to welcome 2022, I would like to share some thoughts with you and to extend my heartfelt good wishes to you and your family.
Our journey never stops, and 2021 was another remarkable period for UES. Not only did we mark our 117th year in business but it was also the 2nd consecutive year where our teams across the globe successfully navigated the most challenging social and commercial environment of our generation, a year when we moved to a fully integrated IT system, it was when our custom designed and manufactured marine seating was launched into public use on New Yorks famed Staten Island Ferry system and a year where we strengthened our executive leadership as we boldly strive to professionalise the UES Group.
The individual achievements of our people throughout the year fill me with enormous pride and confidence, making my task of taking the company to the world all the more enjoyable. In October, I was able to represent the company overseas for the first time in almost two years. Whilst the world has changed due to the pandemic, the enthusiasm and support for our products, solutions and people have not and UES was warmly welcomed over an intensive 6-week trip throughout the United States. Next year will see us continue our return to the international stage, with planned trips to Europe, Asia and the USA.
On behalf of the Morcos family, I would like to thank you for your continued support of UES and wish you the very best for good health and an abundance of happiness. I look forward to exchanging ideas with you and encourage you to share your thoughts with me on how we can be even better next year.
Heres to great things in 2022.
As UES International approaches its 120th anniversary, the UES Hardware division has a lot to look back on – and a lot to look forward to. Im excited to have come on board as CEO this year, and I look forward to bringing even greater focus to product innovation and old fashioned service.
The UES International Story started in 1904. Today, UES Hardware products are found…everywhere. We now proudly sell high quality products all over the world, and we have branches in every Australian capital city plus Auckland, NZ.
We could not have come so far and achieved so much without our fantastic and committed team, and we certainly couldnt have done it without our customers – thank you for choosing UES Hardware.
UES Hardware had a strong 2021 – but it was a difficult year for a lot of customers, especially those who were impacted by lockdowns and stop work orders. We supported tradies and commercial customers during COVID to keep them moving and our strong relationships with both customers and product manufacturers meant there was a lot of goodwill on all sides.
A key challenge for UES Hardware during the past 18 months has been the unpredictability in the global supply chain, but we have been able to continue to meet the needs of customers and work strategically to manage changing lead times and product availability.
Looking forward, well be working on making sure we have the right products in stock at the right time, and we have some exciting new products in the pipeline, too.
I hope you find time to relax and take a break over the holiday period, and we look forward to working with you again in 2022.
The extraordinary events that were faced during the 2021 have been well documented and its a credit to the experienced and loyal UES Hardware staff that we were able to overcome the shutdowns, restrictions, and interruptions to continue to offer our customer base the quality products, reliable service, and competitive pricing they have become accustomed to from UES.
We would normally be reflecting on the exhibitions we have attended and the overseas business partners we have visited, but none of this has been possible. However, we have found new ways to regularly communicate and support our business partners .
We are now looking forward to getting back to some form of normality in 2022, to do many of the things that have proven successful in the past and utilising so much of what we have learnt over the last two years.
I would like to thank all our customers for their support during the year and wish you all a happy and safe festive season.

Hi all, Seasons greetings.
2021 has been a steady year for the branch. We have had to meet some challenges head on, sometimes not to our advantage, but where these situations do arise, it also shows the character of our staff.
As we live in the “Hermit Kingdom” the economy has been in very good shape with iron ore hitting an all-times sales record of over $230US/tonne. This has resulted in strong sales of 4×4 and truck bodies servicing the mining industry as they replace fleet and equipment. The added effect has been the inability for West Australians to travel interstate, resulting in unprecedented levels of outer metro and country hotels, resorts, caravan and camping sites being booked out, sometimes 18 months to two years in advance. The level of money being spent within the state due to lockdown is incredible, and this is driving up prices of used vehicles, caravans and camper vans. The 4-wheel drive markets and other recreational vehicles and associated fit outs has seen many of our customers booked out for months in advance.
The team is looking forward to 2022 as we head towards the break. We have two new team members, Shaun Carter in internal sales and Darren Jackson in warehousing, and both are making a great contribution to the branch. Not forgetting Tom Cooney, Paul Aby and Sharon Lines who continue to strive forward daily. Its good to see staff working together as always.
A thank you to all our customers for their support in 2021. Your patience and understanding have been greatly appreciated.
What a trying year 2021 has been. Lockdown for over 3 months, stock supply constraints and an uncertain market. Despite the adversity, the NSW team saw big demand in toolboxes and also water tanks. During Covid, customers had more time on their hands to finish home projects, too, and there was lots of upgrading of vehicles as well as fitting out caravans to travel around Australia while we couldnt go overseas.
2022 brings with it a a new ‘normal as well as some exciting branch improvements including container receival facilities to keep more stock of the things that keep our customers going.
The team at Wetherill Park would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience throughout the tough year we have had in NSW. We would like to wish you & your families a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. We look forward to servicing you in 2022.

Well, here we are, approaching the end of an extremely challenging year. The old Chinese proverb “May you live in interesting times” rings true for just about everyone, and on many levels.
Our sincere thanks to all our customers. We appreciate your loyalty and patience. Your partnership has seen us overcome new supply challenges with unprecedented levels of demand literally hampered by slow boats! The new demand trend saw customers securing supplies with forward schedules and BOMs up to six months in advance. At times we just couldnt keep up with supplies for toolboxes, drawer slides, gas struts and water tanks. Thanks to our procurement team for rising to the new demand challenge and securing our supply lines. With new measures in place hopefully the new year will see regular and consistent availability with minimum supply interruptions.
On special projects, we have been working with SA Water helping them with special rubber applications. Johnny is working closely with their engineers in solving leakage issues with various valves and dovetail seals. This involved visits to various sites, tooling, testing, product demo and installation. We look forward to working with them on many more upcoming projects.
Finally, thanks to all our customers, my branch team, and management for your support in creating another successful year. We look forward to your continued support and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We would like to thank all our customers for their support and understanding throughout 2021. Once again, we were challenged with the branch being placed in lockdown and having to adapt to the click and collect rules and regulation.
I must recognise my staff for quickly adapting and satisfying customer orders and requests over the phone, not to mention wearing masks which created a new dynamic in the workplace environment.
Sales continued to grow despite Covid, with many products such as toolboxes, water tanks, drawer slides and gas struts proving to be very popular. Our new catalogue is out now and were currently developing our website to keep pace with the growing demand. The feedback from customers has been exceptional.
Looking froward to 2022 we will see the introduction of new products to complement our already extensive range, and we encourage you to keep an eye on the website www.uesint.com for the latest on the new products, together with details of the latest promotional offers at UES Hardware.
Have a safe and happy festive season from all of us.

Unlike our VIC and NSW cousins, Covid hasnt posed much of a challenge for our branch. What has been tough during 2021 though, was stock shortages, due to lockdowns overseas which increased lead times with further shipping delays.
Demand has certainly increased. We worked hard to ensure fair access to available product so that our entire customer base could keep on keeping on.
Success this year lived in customer service delivered by the QLD team. Their honesty and authenticity, helped them to find the best product for their customers ‘need. Communication was vital through this time as we kept customers up to date about stock availability and lead times.
It was interesting to see in 2021 that the whole vehicle body building industry really took off, in particular the canopy builders. They all seem to have a huge number of forward orders exceeding six plus months, some out as far as 12 months
All in all, weve travelled quite well this year, and this is thanks to having high quality products, the best range and nearly 100 years of experience.
I offer my thanks to our customers for their patience, and I wish you all a happy festive season and a prosperous new year.
2021 has been a strange year for everyone. The Northern Territory has largely avoided the hardships of prolonged lockdowns felt by other states, but Covid has still had an impact.
Supply problems have made life difficult for everyone and all local suppliers have been affected.
But Territorians are a resourceful lot and we found that with a bit of creative thinking we were usually able to supply alternatives from our range. We would like to thank all our customers for their patience and understanding throughout this difficult time.
Our relocation to Yarrawonga took place in March. This has been widely well received as many customers have found the access and parking to be much better. The new signage is very noticeable and can easily been seen from the Stuart Highway – I think they can even see it from space!
We have a new member of the Team, Nathan Trezise. Nathan has a wealth of experience in the trailer building industry as well as wholesale and retail. So, feel free to come and talk to us about any of your requirements for your next job or project.
Next year we hope to see some new and exciting products and look forward to supplying your needs for RVs, trailers and boats.
